Data we collect

StoryDraft Studio collects the information needed to run a writing account:

• Account information: email address, display name, password hash, session token, account creation date.
• User content: workspaces, outlines, draft units, notes, timelines, characters, relationships, interview answers, voice transcripts, generated drafts, exports, and related writing metadata.
• App settings: assistant model, recall tone, memory focus, plan/entitlement state.
• Subscription state: product id, entitlement tier, status, renewal period, and purchase validation source when a purchase or restore is linked to the account.
• Diagnostics: server logs, request metadata, error messages, and basic operational events needed to maintain the service.

AI processing

When AI features are used, StoryDraft Studio sends the relevant workspace context to server-side AI providers to generate recall prompts, outlines, story drafts, rewrites, images, and voice-assistant responses. The app never asks users to enter an OpenAI API key and does not store API keys on the device.

Voice features

The microphone is used only when the user starts the voice assistant. Voice input can be transcribed and stored as workspace capture so the user can review, edit, and reuse it while writing.

How data is used

We use collected data to:

• Authenticate accounts and keep sessions active.
• Store and sync story workspaces.
• Generate outlines, drafts, rewrites, recall prompts, character arcs, and timeline structure.
• Enforce free and Pro plan limits.
• Provide support, debugging, security, abuse prevention, and service reliability.

Data sharing

StoryDraft Studio shares data with service providers only as needed to operate the app, including hosting, database, payment validation, AI generation, analytics/diagnostics, and support tooling. StoryDraft Studio does not sell user story content.

User control

Users can edit or delete their story content in the app. Users can delete their account from Settings. Account deletion removes the account and associated story data from the active application database.
